BMO has introduced BMO Sync, a first-of-its-kind solution in Canada that integrates BMO Online Banking for Business directly into Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and accounting systems like QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct.
Developed in partnership with Vancouver-based fintech FISPAN, BMO Sync enables businesses to automate payments, streamline workflows, and gain near real-time cash flow visibility—all from within their existing financial platforms. The solution simplifies payment processing, improves reconciliation with automatic bank feeds, and allows for quick onboarding in under 30 minutes.
“BMO Sync is a key component of our Digital First strategy, which delivers leading digital experiences to our clients,” said Sean Ellery, Head of Digital & Innovation, BMO Commercial Bank. “Embedding our banking services within our clients’ systems helps them save time, reduce errors, and focus on what’s most important—growing their businesses.”
The partnership with FISPAN is part of BMO’s broader push to expand embedded banking capabilities through APIs. “Because [FISPAN’s] open architecture simplifies and expedites direct integration with ERP systems, we were able to build and deliver BMO Sync to our clients in record time,” said Gurreet Sidhu, CIO, Treasury and Payment Solutions at BMO.
BMO Sync is now available in Canada and the U.S. for BMO Online Banking for Business clients using leading ERP and accounting platforms.
