QuantGate Systems unveiled this week that it has signed agreement to collaborate with Oxford Immune Algorithmics, a deep technology startup incubated through the University of Oxford.
Toronto’s QuantGate, which develops fintech solutions powered by artificial intelligence, says the collaboration will integrate predictive and generative AI into QuantGate’s product suite.
The initial integration is with Pilot Trading, a mobile app from the Toronto fintech that leverages AI with an aim to place traders ahead of broader market sentiments.
“Using psychology-based [artificial] intelligence algorithms, Pilot monitors the activity of all traders in real time and allows you to know when the market is about change direction,” the startup states online. “When an opportunity is detected, Pilot alerts you with a selling or buying notification.”
“Our goal with Pilot Trading is to provide experienced investors the tools they need to excel in their day-to-day trading,” Wayne Welter, chairman at QuantGate, said in July.
The collaboration with Oxford Immune Algorithmics isn’t just about tech, though, but also expertise.
Hector Zenil, a pioneer in applications of algorithmic randomness and causality, will actively participate on QuantGate’s advisory board.
“We are thrilled to partner with Oxford Immune Algorithmics and welcome Hector Zenil to our advisory board,” stated chief executive officer Allan Bezanson. “This collaboration represents a significant leap forward in our journey to harness the power of AGI into our AI trading products and deliver cutting-edge fintech solutions.”
The contributions of Dr. Zenil, whose background includes positions at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, will augment QuantGate’s mission to drive fintech innovation in a bid toward transforming the financial landscape.
“I eagerly look forward to working with the talented QuantGate team,” stated Zenil. “Our collaboration promises to push the boundaries of AI and ML in fintech, and I am committed to contributing to the company’s success.”
The Pilot app is currently supported in 37 countries and connects to 18 different brokerages and crypto exchanges.
