Ontario residents can now apply for personal loans while picking up their morning coffee or filling up their tank, thanks to a new partnership between iFinance and Circle K.
The Canadian financing firm announced that it has teamed up with Circle K locations across Ontario to provide instant, smartphone-accessible personal loans via QR codes displayed in-store. By scanning the code, customers are taken directly to a fast, machine-learning-powered loan application—no paperwork or long waits required.
Loan amounts range from $750 to $3,000 with flexible repayment options spanning 12 to 60 months. Once approved, funds are deposited into the borrower’s bank account within 24 hours.
“People today expect speed and convenience, and Circle K embodies both,” said William Breton, VP and COO at iFinance. “That’s why we designed our financing process to match—fast, simple, and fully digital. Through this partnership, customers can apply for a loan in real time without the hassle of traditional lending barriers.”
The initiative is part of iFinance’s broader push to modernize how Canadians access credit. By embedding financial services into familiar daily environments like convenience stores, the company aims to remove friction from the lending process and reach underserved consumers.
Participating Circle K stores are already rolling out signage with the scannable loan application codes.
