Toronto’s Mako Fintech has entered into a strategic alliance with SGGG Fund Services to modernize subscription and Know Your Client (KYC) processes for fund issuers, advisors, and managers across the U.S. and Canada.
The collaboration will enable funds and advisors to automate and streamline subscription onboarding and servicing workflows through a technical integration between Mako’s low-code platform and SGGG’s Diamond Fund Administration System. The result: straight-through processing of subscriptions with no rekeying, fewer errors, and faster turnaround times. Future system releases are expected to support automated redemptions and other post-onboarding tasks.
“Our greatest strength is flexibility,” said Raphael Bouskila, founder and President of Mako. “Each fund is unique, so we’ve leaned into our low-code approach to deliver whitelabelled, compliant, and fully integrated solutions for any fund manager, issuer, or advisor. SGGG shares our values of delivering personalized services to asset managers, and our whole team is proud to work with them to build a world-class and fully integrated subscription agreement processing solution.”
Mako’s onboarding platform is widely adopted across the wealth and alternative asset industry, with features like native e-signatures, customizable data models, and bulk repapering. The company currently serves over 80 clients, including wealth management firms, institutional capital markets, private fund issuers, and asset managers.
SGGG, a North American leader in fund administration since 1997, provides third-party fund solutions to 1,100 alternative funds worldwide, with $95 billion in assets under administration.
“Advancing technology to improve our clients’ experience has always been in our DNA at SGGG, starting with Diamond,” said Andy Smith, SGGG’s Chief Strategy Officer. “We’re eager to continue raising the bar for great service to investors and issuers with this collaboration.”
The integrated Mako-SGGG system is already in use by several leading asset managers. Interested parties are encouraged to contact their Mako or SGGG representative to schedule an integration.
