While the United States has a highly developed financial system, financial inclusion is still a challenge for many Americans.
According to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), approximately 6.5% of U.S. households were unbanked in 2019, meaning they had no checking or savings account at a bank or credit union.
In addition, about 16.3% of U.S. households were underbanked, meaning they had a bank account but also used alternative financial services such as payday loans, check cashing, or money orders.
California-based Cheese wants to change that and they’ve enlisted Vancouver’s Fintel Connect for help.
The fast-growing fintech platform that offers flexible and affordable credit solutions to underbanked and credit-challenged consumers in the U.S. has announced a new partnership with the Canadian performance marketing leader.
Through the partnership, Fintel Connect will provide Cheese with its cutting-edge performance marketing technology to help the company reach new audiences, build brand credibility and expand its user base.
“Partnering with Cheese aligns with Fintel Connect’s mission to promote financial inclusion by connecting underserved Americans with the credit they need to achieve their financial goals,” said Nicky Senyard, CEO of Fintel Connect.
