Montreal’s Fintech Cadence has partnered with the DMZ’s Black Innovation Programs (BIP), the first-in-Canada series of programs designed to support startups led by Black-identifying entrepreneurs.
The partnership will leverage both organizations’ expertise and programming to address barriers to access that many Black entrepreneurs face when starting and growing a business.
Fintech Cadence will provide sector specific expertise and industry connections while supporting the DMZ’s Black fintech founders to ensure the Canadian fintech ecosystem leverages promising talent and bold new innovations.
Through this partnership, Fintech Cadence will be able to offer more resources across provinces and support founders at different stages of their entrepreneurial journey, removing barriers as Black fintech founders grow in their ventures.
“To say that Black fintech innovation is taking leaps would be a gross understatement. We are excited to partner with FinTech Cadence to deepen our support for Black tech entrepreneurs in Canada. Through this partnership, we will be able to offer more resources across provinces and support founders at different stages of their entrepreneurial journey, removing barriers as Black fintech founders grow in their ventures.” said Janey Buzugbe, Head of the Black Innovation Programs and Partnerships at DMZ.
